Having ADHD is getting frustrated because you’re spending forever and a day on one document that shouldn’t take you long to complete but your brain isn’t cooperating

I found out I had ADHD from a random YouTube ad , a black girl discussing the ‘gifted kid’ to depressed + burnt out at uni pipeline, before being diagnosed. She started listing symptoms and I was like… wait, that’s ADHD?? I thought it was just white boys jumping off chairs.

I wish the people around me would've understood how much hormones can affect my ADHD symptoms. Some days, I just can't get any work done with how bad my brain fog gets and I feel like all I can do is ride it out (and try to be gentle with myself).

When you get diagnosed with ADHD and the psychiatrist reads you your report it’s so strange because you’re like wow they really get me and know me because this is exactly how I am and things start clicking for you in that moment

I remember when Lil Wayne did the same egregious thing in a song using Emmett Till’s death in a rap and he had to come out and apologise, this is so shameful

Spent the day eating 4 stacked low vibrational plates at a BBQ and now I’m going to chain myself to my desk until I finish writing my next newsletter post on ADHD and juggling

Love how sometimes it only takes one simple prayer to God to make any situation work out in the end

This is what I call working with my ADHD brain instead of against it, if little snacks along the way do the trick then go for it
