The new Aeon installer is shaping up really nice Just finishing up a module that will detect existing Aeon / MicroOS installations and offer to backup/restore /home and all user accounts to the installer USB stick before deploying a nice fresh Aeon image

On my old Dell 5510 a typical, basic openSUSE Linux Tumbleweed install with YaST takes 17m 58s to complete Aeon with tik - 2m 44s

Productive day for Aeon tik will now migrate encrypted homedirs contributed by Eugenio Paolantonio bug fixes - migration shell fixes - incomplete backups will restart - kernel race conditions avoided - GNOME settings save more reliably - and more.. Not bad for 24hr RC2 soon!
