AfyaToon had been working to ensure accessibility, availability, and usability of public health education and services across Tanzania. Ms. GloryCharles speaks of how equity has been central to us in our current and upcoming ventures.

The AfyaToon team continues to show up for the Tanzanian communities. Our grassroot dissemination under the AfyaCheck health camps in kagera and Geita continues to impart preventive and good health maintenance strategies to the Tanzanian communities.

In our dissemination outreach at Muungano School in Chato, we had the pleasure of engaging with bright young students on the importance of oral hygiene exploreing the best practices for maintaining a healthy smile, from brushing techniques to the importance of regular dental care

We had the privilege of visiting Wema Secondary School at Chato , where we engaged with an incredible group of students in a meaningful conversation about non-communicable diseases

Our communication on mental health and wellbeing, oral health, and hygiene delivered by engaging talks and virtual arts produced by AfyaToon inspired preventive and health maintaing strategies among attendees of the health camps and students reached through outreaches in Chato.

The Afyatoon team had the privilege of showcasing #RUDI, a Mental Health Animation” at Smiles Dental Clinic during a Mental Health Workshop offering a platform to highlight the importance of mental health awareness as a foundation for building safe, healthy and workspaces.

We are presenting Nuru, a captivating animation that follows a confident and risk-taking girl who bravely confronts the issue of Female Genital Mutilation while navigating her own family challenges. Her journey inspires hope and resilience in the fight against harmful traditions

Earlier last week, we were privileged to showcase achieved milestones in our work at capacitating journalists and facilitating AMR communication through a collaborative story ideation platform to members of the parliament who form the parliamentarian alliance for AMR.

Screening #NURU and #RUDI to young people in TZ. We explored the anxiety in Nuru’s life and her peers related to the threat of mutilation in #NURU and explored Amani’s journey from substance misuse due to peer pressure to becoming a mental health advocate for his family in #RUDI.
