Camp Agape won't be held back by the rain - We are ready for an exciting second week of camp!

Agape Shaved Ice will not be open today due to the rainy weather. Sorry about that! Thursday is to be determined.

Come support our teen snow cone business, open TODAY, 6/21 from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM. Experiencing the hard work of entrepreneurship, the teens get to reap the rewards of their labor. While you're there, ask them each how they plan to use their wages.

Agape Shaved Ice will be at these locations TODAY - 1:30 pm- 3:30 pm. Show your support & buy a sweet treat to cool down from the heat. Agape Shaved Ice is also available for birthday parties and shindigs of all kinds. Book them for a party - email [email protected]

Through Rice U's Construct collaboration, Agape will be obtaining a tiny house which will provide additional housing for our Gateway Residential Program for young adults and mentoring staff in our neighborhood. Thank you, @rice.construct!

Progress on Agape's tiny house is steadily making way! With the installation of siding, counters, sinks, & steel stairs, & the painting of the exterior of the dwelling, much has happened in the month of June. A huge thank you to Rice Architecture for all the work that is being done!

Camp Agape is 7 weeks of fun-filled, action packed, summer camp fun. Take 50 kids, 6 counselors, the powerful message of the gospel, crafts, games, field trips, short courses, & an epic shaving cream fight - you have a life-changing summer for the children of our neighborhood.

Grow your Brains is a twice weekly educational component to our children's summer camp. The goal is to keep our students on grade level over the summer and prevent the "Summer Slump". This past weeks' Grow Your Brains featured many fun science experiments!

Volunteers enable Camp Agape to run effectively. Camp assistants, short course leaders, and Grow Your Brains volunteers help us pour into the lives of the children who attend Camp Agape. We love our summer volunteers!!

Please pray for our teens this week as they go to Stoney Creek Ranch. Life is full of distractions and sometimes it can be hard to hear what God is doing and saying through the noise. This is their time to disconnect from social media and have a clear connection with the father.

ASIP our youth employment program participants have been busy this summer. Thank you all that have come out to support our teens! We've been hired for 8 jobs this summer along with our 3 weekly sites! If you haven't yet, come and see us!

The young adult ministry has had a blast so far this summer! From slip and slide kickball to dinner and a movie and throwback roller skating. It has all been such a fun time for everyone to get to know one another and establish that community we need as young adults.

This summer, Mark serves our Teen Urban Summer Camp as a high school counselor. Mark has also taken up residence in our guys Gateway home. In Gateway, Mark is widely considered 1 of the residential leaders. We are so grateful to have such a servant in our brother Mark.

Jerome is the director of Agape's Young Adult Ministries. He comes to us from SC where he developed a huge passion for the inner city. He is also extremely passionate about seeing young adults in the community be impacted by the love & transforming power of the gospel of Jesus.

The high school work crew at our urban summer camp have been hard at work Monday through Thursday learning the principles of work and reward. This is their recently finished project: building a fence for one of our neighbors. What a fantastic job they did! #AgapeUrbanSummerCamp
