OK all you bogland lovers, want to learn about fen-ification and implications for greenhouse gas (including methane) fluxes? This is something I am thinking about a lot. 1/

Spent the last two days participating in academic development mentoring programme. I am positively tired, and excited to see what the next modules will bring. I was hoping for a sunny morning walk on the beach, but the definition of spring is slightly different in Sweden 🤷‍♀️

Excited to be at #EGU24 these coming days. I’ve been a little nervous to present for the first time tomorrow, but after an afternoon spent in a beautiful Türkenschanzpark I have a good feeling about this session 😊 Come talk to me about soil microbes!

Last summer, I sampled 44 soils from Alaska and Abisko, want to be the fourth person in the world (the first three are myself, Rousk Lab and Lettice Hicks 😜) to know what I dug up? Join my talk at #ESA2024! I'll share the serendipity of my PhD journey!!!🌱🔍

Is there a better way to spend a Friday afternoon than by going to a forest with a bunch of fungi experts? I don’t think so

Permafrost stores >2x the amount of carbon in our atmosphere. Some C will remain in soil after thaw. But a portion will be released, either as CO2 or CH4, with emissions equivalent to adding another industrialized country to global emissions. The Arctic will touch all of us.
