Congratulations Aiman Suleiman from the Perioperative Outcomes Lab, Center for Anesthesia Research Excellence at BIDMC BIDMC Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine for Best Abstract at the Association of University Anesthesiologists annual meeting 2023!!
Excited to listen to Dr. Aiman Suleiman’s BEST ABSTRACT PRESENTATION on the intersection of mechanical ventilation and physics!
Hysteresis-derived lung entropy - a novel concept to assess quality of mechanical ventilation and pulmonary response. Dr. Aiman Suleimen Aiman Suleiman from the Perioperative Outcomes Lab BIDMC Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine BIDMC presents among best abstract finalists at #IARS23 meeting
I am blessed with an amazing team- 12 abstracts, 3x BEST ABSTRACT and lots of fun! A very succesful #IARS23 #AUA23 #SOCCA23 meeting for our Perioperative Outcomes Lab at the Center for Anesthesia Research Excellence (CARE) at BIDMC Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine BIDMC Harvard Medical School
Aiman Suleiman received the very Kosake Best Abstract Award #IARS23 in the clinical research category- he was smart enough to conduct a secondary analysis of the EPvent trial to test his hypothesis that ventilation entropy predicts mortality. Impressive work, Dr. Aiman!
Increasing respiratory rate upon transition of mechanically ventilated patients from OR to the ICU often leads to higher intensity of ventilation and is then associated with higher mortality risk - a study from our lab just published in the AJRCCM. First author Dario von Wedel
