fuck's SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE I'm so fucking tired of AI used as a way to lay off people. AI DOESN'T MAKE ANYTHING BETTER. IT NEVER HAS. And I'm not saying it never will. Who knows what the future is. But you don't FIRE people just because you like AI.

I have never EVER seen an AI-produced thing that you could convince me is better than anything a human could produce. EVER. The fact is, AI RELIES ON HUMANS to produce results. I can make a case for the use of AI to do bulk static tasks, but NEVER creativity.

You know what I like in my shows, movies, books? Insight. I like being shown something new about humanity. I like revelations about how we live and how we act. And only a human with actual life experience can give me that.

Corporations will never stop looking for ways to stop paying people for work. AI is just the latest. But here's the hilarious part: Once all workers have been laid off, these businesses will see that they've thrown away the only thing that keep their business alive.

Literal tens of thousands of jobs have been destroyed by the false promise of AI and it needs to fucking stop, right fucking now.

I'm enjoying The Penguin. I'm just not sure if it's part of some larger scheme or not. I also don't know if I'd want it to be. I assume the only reason this show exists is because Colin Farrell is amazing. Because otherwise, who would put big money on a show about The Penguin?

I get as much of an endorphin rush from drawing a wonderful line as I do from making a great play in Rocket League or writing an insightful line of dialogue.

it has been a FUCK of a 48-hour period. My partner's 93 year old mother fell and broke her hip. 48 hours of anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. She's gone through surgery and it was successful. Thank Yog. And now it's going to be an arduous journey of PT. Fuck's sake.

life update: life is shit right now we put our cat to sleep yesterday and i still keep expecting to see her around my partner's two parents are ailing. one has dementia and the other chronic illness, in addition to falling and breaking her hip, now she's in rehab

her father needs someone to be there 24/7 to make sure he doesn't just wander off. her mother isn't doing well in rehab because the exercises drain her to the point of near-comatose immobility this is all costing us a fortune and there's no end in sight

i can't even look for work now because i need to be available to watch her father at all times and help her run errands and take either of them to the hospital for various things it's fucking horrible i'll kill myself before I ever get to a point where I become like them

this is a hopeless, thankless job and it could potentially go on for years

i just want to mourn my cat and i don't have time or space to do that i miss her so much and i keep looking around to see her and she's not there and she never will be again

have any of you adopted a kitten that was younger than 6 months? is it okay to do that, or should we wait to find one that's at least 6 months old?
