Gen. Forbes’ army included 3 companies of NC Provincials commanded by Major Hugh Waddell. The Fort was attacked by the French, October 1758, several North Carolinians were killed. Shawn is participating today in the “History Alive: Meet the NC Provincials” event at Fort Ligonier.

Alamance Staff had another busy day! Drew and Nathan participated in the Ft. Dobbs school day, while Shawn and Lisa welcomed first graders from Bradford Academy.
