President Javier Milei's interest in Ireland's economic model led to much press interest in my visit to Irlanda en Argentina. Here's an example of some of the coverage. Ceci Degl'innocenti Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) perfil.com/noticias/polit…

Sincere congratulations to Prof Prof Mary McCarron - I'm honoured to be working with Mary on the Commission on Care for Older People where her insights are invaluable.

Very helpful to have an estimate from National Institute of Economic and Social Research of the possible impact of Trump's return. I assume the percentage impact on Ireland would be higher.

Looking forward to participating in this Community Foundation Ireland event. The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) has undertaken a vast amout of research on child poverty - covering causes, consequences and policy options. I hope to draw on that in addressing the conference.

An important day for the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) as we launch a new macroeconomic model of Northern Ireland, funded by Ibec and co-developed with our sister institute in the UK, National Institute of Economic and Social Research. This new model will be a valuable tool for analysing economic policy in NI.

Interesting perspective on the importance of the role of director of UK research institute National Institute of Economic and Social Research. By coincidence, the role of director of Ireland's Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) has also been advertised and a similar perspective applies.

This morning Ruth Donaldson David Jordan and I have published our report on how Northern Ireland can close the productivity gap on the rest of the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

In a housing-related discussion on Morning Ireland earlier today, The Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik made reference to an Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) study on the possible impacts of tax breaks for housing. For those interested, I think this is the study in question: esri.ie/publications/t…

Delighted to be in Belfast to present the Macro Model for Northern Ireland—joint proj w Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) & Ibec I’ve worked on for the past 3 years. A pleasure to host colleagues from Vietnam's Central Institute for Economic Management at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) this week. Visit organised in collaboration with Ireland in Vietnam 🇮🇪.

This week's visit of colleagues from Vietnam's Central Institute for Economic Management to the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) continued today. Very grateful to Prof Carol Newman of TCD Economics for hosting a great meeting in Trinity College Dublin.

Great to represent the Northern Ireland Fiscal Council at today's NI Audit Office conference - a lively panel discussion about using public funds wisely to improve outcomes for the citizens of Northern Ireland.

Here is a link to the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), Department of Finance paper on trade protectionist measures and the likely impact on the Irish economy. An important and timely paper and good to see such valuable collaboration between the ESRI and the DoF. esri.ie/node/10333
