Today is the 54th anniversary of the formation of The Queen’s Lancashire Regiment, an amalgamation of The Loyal Regiment and The Lancashire Regiment (PWV). Colours were presented at Dover Castle by Field Marshal Sir Gerald Templar. Motto: Loyally We Serve. Indeed we did.

Tristan was lucky enough to participate in a visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea organised by Little Troopers.He had a great day with a tour, crafting and the opportunity to make new friends, both young and old. A great initiative. Even had the opportunity to meet Akshata Murty!

So this also happened yesterday. Went over on it, trying to catch the boy on a run. 6hrs in A & E. Broken ankle, but thankfully not on a weight bearng bit. V swollen and a bit sore. Mrs S not amused - thinks it's a ruse to get out of taking the kids back to school on Monday.

The men & women in our Army risk everything to keep us safe. Racing across the Sahara alongside the best of them has been one the greatest gifts of my life. It has taught me (and reminds everybody) that they deserve the best from ALL of us. Please PLEASE support them.
