Sustainable development financing system needs an up-date and new impetus. It must be transparent, simple and accountable. It has to be led by developing countries choices, supported by international cooperation. I discussed this at the UN #FFD4 Conference in Seville.

Met with President of Senegal Bassirou Diomaye Faye in Seville to discuss the security situation in the Sahel region, the need for #UNSC reform, and digital cooperation. #Estonia is ready to share e-governance experience with #Senegal. Presented Estonia’s candidacy for the #UNHRC 2026–2028

Discussed with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of Nepal the opportunities to strengthen digital cooperation between #Estonia and #Nepal, and the security challenges in South Asia. I also presented Estonia’s candidacy for the #UN Human Rights Council 2026–2028.

Strategic governance, digitalisation and innovation helps countries mobilise domestic resources and limit costs. At #FFD4 Conference, I co-hosted a roundtable with Sierra Leone Vice-President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh to share #Estonia’s experience.

AI is key to building modern public services, from tax administration to data-driven decisions. That’s why #Estonia launched the AI Leap initiative to promote AI literacy among school students — so the next generation can help shape how #AI is used in society. #FFD4

Met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres in Seville. #Estonia supports UN80 reforms for a stronger #UN. Together with the UN, Estonia works for lasting peace in the Middle East and continues to stand firmly with #Ukraine.
