Women lead and benefit from inclusive peace and security. This week, in partnership with CEWERU, we have facilitated the process and formed 3 sub county peace committees to spearhead work on conflict early warning, analysis and response. UN Women Uganda Norway MFA

Youth in Uganda, did you know that we are the second youngest population in the world. Of the total population in Uganda, 78% is below the age 35. Are we using this opportunity of numbers to better Uganda 🇺🇬 or? Do we have a say in what is decided for us? Time to ACT is NOw!

Youth Unemployment: Most youth in Uganda (15.2%-UBOS) can't secure a decent job after heavy investment in them through formal education. Should we factor this to weak investment options in the country or ineffective employment policies? Do we need to discuss/dialogue on this?

Youth, it's not a secret anymore. We are not trusted. This is not good for our future, aspirations, and growth. Therefore, we need to build our resilience, networks, and harness our skills to create our own opportunities and perform at our best whenever given chance.

Young People, how likely are we to work together? Do we value and respect the power of togetherness? In a normal setting, it wouldn't matter for us to be on our own. But the current state of affairs calls us to unite, agree, and jointly take clear actions.#Solidarity

Employment: Young people, did you know that: Agriculture employs 3.6m people, Industry 1.4m, Services 5m, ICT 46,000. Do we see where the opportunities are? Can we all agree to shift our mindset and focus on areas with more opportunities and good statistics? #MindsetShift

As young people, why should we shift our mindset towards agriculture? Because, Uganda’s fertile agricultural land has the potential to feed 200 million people.  And, 80% of Uganda’s land is arable. However, only 35% is being cultivated.  Let's embrace agriculture at all stages.

In a space of 2 years, someone is able to start generating income for himself and others. Young people, it's your mindset that will keep you and the generations in poverty and misery. Let's all wake up and think progressively on this journey of agriculture. #MindsetShift
