#MaintenanceMonday Our WMA Project Development & Delivery Teams have secured £96.4m of Environment Agency capital funding, enabling us to appraise the condition of assets & gain #funding to refurbish or replace #infrastructure where required. Work has started on some projects already!

Last Thursday we had a storm surge. The water reached ~0.5m higher than the forecasted tide. Luckily the forecasted tide was relatively low. On a spring tide this could be quite a different story. #stormsurge #riveralde #slaughden

We had a great meeting today with Jenny Riddell-Carpenter MP, alongside The_WMA, AOA and AOCP. We discussed the flood defences along the estuary, and the actions necessary to prevent catastrophic flooding.

There will be a surge today, our nearest national indicator is at Lowestoft. The soft grey line follows the tide forecast. The lower lines in colour show the residual water, and the top lines in colour show the two combined. At Lowestoft, High Tide will be around 3.4m. #NTSLF
