Indeed. The people have spoken, what more is there to say? Obviously the jury saw reasonable doubt.

Justice lost. It happens. Ask Ron Goldman’s family. Usually it’s a mix of politics, very good and expensive defense work, and just enough crap thrown at a wall to make reasonable doubt seem semi-plausible. As it was here. But the jury has spoken, so that’s that.

1: A nuclear-armed Iran may be an existential threat to Israel. It is NOT to the United States. 2: An existential threat to Israel may be so damaging to US interests as to require US intervention. And the US has other reasons to keep Iran from a bomb (regional/KSA escalation)...

But in any case, the US must decide whether to intervene based on 2, based on its OWN interests and after consulting with Europe and the Gulf states. And there's most importantly there is no rush. And having a bunch of prominent American Jews beg for war is not a good look.

And I am Jewish, and I absolutely believe Israel has the right to defend itself. But it doesn't have the right to demand the United States do its fighting for it. That's a decision the US has to make based on US interests.
