Very excited to see this paper out. We look at the relationship between reef fish and complexity and analyze what traits make species winners and losers of flattening. Many factors shape why #evidence is used (or not) in #conservation decision-making. With Alliance 4 Conservation Evidence & Sustainability, we share 17 tactics that can help conservation #organizations address these factors and evolve into #learning organizations. New paper lead by recent Predator Ecology & Conservation Lab graduate Sarah Luongo, PhD. We use energetics and telemetry to estimate consumption rates of Nassau grouper. The proportion of prey consumed varies by habitat on coral reefs and may increase 24% with future climate scenarios. esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ecβ¦

Great to see the Biology and FIU Marine Biology grad students present their work at Biosymposium on Saturday. And congratulations to the labβs own Sara Schoen for winning first place in the 15 min presentation category! Energy landscapes of predators and fear landscapes of prey can vary spatially but also temporally and should be integrated. For examples in terrestrial, aerial, and marine ecosystems, see doi.org/10.1111/1365-2β¦ Led by Yannis Papastamatiou
