My soapbox on👇- lack of sector (and investor) impetus for proving out models (aka robust evaluation) means we don’t know which work, and there’s limited sharing of lessons/model generalizability, leading to limited meaningful system level change.

“…drawn attention to the lack of paid family leave for staff even at institutions like ours…And I hope that we in public health will not forget the impact of work on health and the pervasive way in which it drives health” #paidfamilyleave

1/ Indiana's #abortion ban takes effect today. #IN also does not guarantee #PaidLeave & restricts localities from doing so. The latest in the divide between states that support freedom, family & autonomy and states like IN that don't. Reupping this: newamerica.org/the-thread/abo…

“Sadly, the fiction that the US -all of the US-values and supports families has been laid bare…To the extent the United States has become more family friendly since Dobbs, the passage of new laws has largely been concentrated in states that protect the right to abortion.”

This!! I’ve been on this soap box since my early Cityblock Health days, and this piece expertly articulates why research/evaluation should be a part of building AND scaling health care orgs!

Paid family leave access has grown, but disparities have grown too. There’s no denying we need #PaidLeave public policies to reach everyone. New analysis from New America Better Life Lab:  newamerica.org/better-life-la…
