Why should we regulate PFAS products if we donโ€™t know what the harm is yet? Yesterday Dr Joanna Cloy at Fidra, told us that we should safeguard for the future, and Government incentives to develop PFAS alternatives would see a growth in this sector.

It has been really nice hosting Carys Michelmore from UMCES today. Carys gave an excellent presentation on her work on environmental exposure and effects of sunscreens.

โ€œThe big takeaway is that #PFAS are everywhere,โ€ said USGS biologist Vicki Blazer. For 20+ years, Blazer has tracked sick bass in the Chesapeake Bay. Now her research points to #PFAS from farms, forests, and military sites as a key culprit. thenewlede.org/2025/06/pfas-aโ€ฆ

River Summit & Festival, 8th July at Morden Hall. Next week, through my filming presentation, together, we will venture below the surface of England's rivers and learn about some of the aquatic species living on our doorstep, also be covering pollution. #rivers #freshwaterfish

The People's Commission is launching its report on the water industry today and I'm going to be there. The only report about the water industry that you'll ever need to read and the only one that matters.

I have had a lovely day at Morden Hall attending the Rivers Summit. We had some interesting discussions during the panel session on hidden threats in rivers.
