Just had the EXACT same experience. Every year I phone and go âoooh letâs get that price downâ, then after a bit of banter etc we settle on a happy price. Last week I got a quote for more than double last yearâs cost, Me - âOooh letâs get that price downâŠ.â Them - âwe canât.â

My Cooper S's insurance is due for renewal at the end of this month. I haven't driven it enough in the last year but that's not relevant... Nothing has changed. Absolutely nothing. And yet Direct Line have raised my premium by 44%. 44%! How can that be justified?

Picked up this by Ros Atkins at my local bookshop earlier and got to have a quick chat with the man himself

Of course, I would tether from my iPhone. But Vodafone UK can only manage 1.1 Mbps on my street. Two bars of 4G if I'm lucky, despite the coverage map claiming lots of lovely 5G.
