The Artificial Intelligence and Biosecurity Risk Assessment Act would direct the federal government to assess the risks of advancing AI—because it is vital for understanding the impacts of AI on our health and meeting this moment with the urgency that it requires.

The Health Impacts of Nuclear War Act would direct the federal government to assess the health and environmental impacts of nuclear war. The United States must understand the global and irreversible consequences of nuclear warfare.

The Securing Gene Synthesis Act would direct the federal government to study and regulate gene synthesis products to stop them from being used to create dangerous pathogens.

We need to hold the fossil fuel industries accountability for their destruction of the quality of life for many Americans, but especially in the Latino community and other communities of color who are disproportionately impacted by pollution and its impact on public health. 1/2

Through my Close Big Oil Tax Loopholes Act, I’ve long led Senate efforts to eliminate tax loopholes that the fossil fuel companies have exploited for over a century at the expense of Americans, and I’ll continue fighting to level the playing field for clean energy. 2/2
