Dreaming of starting up a commercial cider orchard in south Devon? Hunt's Cider is running an event on 19th November.

Today is pasteurising day at JarSquad! Will be there this afternnoon and processing 50 litres of juice made from apples harvested locally from apples that would have gone to waste! Pasteurising means the juice can be stored to enjoy for up to 2 years!

Today - our lovely local mulled apple juice is being shared with the #GenerousEarth volunteers in Central Park at the Zoo Field Nature Hub with the #GreenCommunities rangers! 11am to 2pm.

Today We were donated two boxes of apples left over after a big event for the cadets and they will be dehydrated this afternoon in Whitleigh! This way they will be preserved for more than a year and are tasty snacks. Will save some to give back to the cadets to sample!

Good soil is vital for good fruit, so we love composting! Tomorrow in Central Park at the #ZooFieldNatureHub there is composting going on and they are setting up a wormery! Good old worms!! Just the other side of the trees in Zoo Field is a young orchard, so do have a look!

Ernesettle is the focus of Growing with Nature networking event on Thursday, 20th. 4.30 - 8pm. Great opportunity to meet the Friends group who care for the green spaces in Ernesettle & meet other community growers.

Festival of Blossom! Check out the Cotehele #FestivalofBlossom - the second part of the webpage shows the blossom walks and other events starting earlier in Plymouth and the Tamar Valley. Next week there are two blossom walks from the stations at St Budeaux and Devonport.
