Read Across America started this morning at the Allen County Primary Centers. Youngsters in various classrooms heard a story from community and school leaders as part of the national program promoting reading.

8th graders from the James E. Bazzell Middle School at the Allen Co.-Scottsville High School for orientation today. The students learned about course requirements, college and career readiness and the learning opportunities at ACSH and the Allen Co. Career and Technical Center.

Good luck to ACS and Bazzell Middle School Science Olympiad teams in state competition Saturday at the University of Kentucky.

Students at the Allen County Intermediate Center began their student-led conferences today. The students invited their parents/guardians/family to the school for a picnic-style lunch during which each students shared what he/she has been learning this school year.

Allen County-Scottsville High School AP Environmental Science students went underground to learn on a recent field trip. Seventeen students spent a day spelunking in Hidden River Cave on Thursday, April 17.

Months of work by students on a Project Based Learning (PBL) project at the Allen County Career and Technical Center was capped off on April 22. The marketing students planed and promoted an Adam Calvert concert for the entire Allen County-Scottsville student body.
