We completed some Maths assessments this morning using Magma Math - we loved the fact that it could read the questions to us and that we could instantly see where we went wrong when the test ended! Thank you Magma Math and Phil Herd for sharing this with us!

On Tuesday, we had the wonderful opportunity of attending the ‘Authors Aloud’ event online. We listened to author Joe Coelho talk about his new book: Relic Hamilton - Genie Hunter. We were engrossed and made lots of notes on the interesting things that Joe was discussing 😀

On Monday, we attended an online event with the Royal British Legion remembering the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces. Many brave people shared their stories: - Mary Scott: British Women's Royal Navy Service - Captain Tom Griffin - Alec Penstone, a D-Day veteran

We were working reciprocally during Maths this morning - dividing fractions by whole numbers. 👏🏻 We considered variation and the different ways to show this and our explanations were very detailed too!

As part of the design process in D&T, we investigated periscopes, their function and how they were fit for purpose in WWI. We had a great time spying on each other from under the tables through the periscope to see how they work! ⭐️

We had a great time this morning experimenting with micro-organisms (yeast/fungi) and what factors affected its growth! 🦠🔥🫧 We were fascinated by how much the yeast rose in the boiling water and discussed how respiration and excretion may have occured. #Everyonesascientist
