Regardless of how you stand on the principle of assisted dying, this bill is not good enough. It is a poorly crafted piece of legislation being rushed through and as such is potentially very harmful. I will not be voting for it.

71 MPs back my cross-party amendment to fix our playgrounds in order to fix the foundations. Planning authorities would ensure local playgrounds, no net loss because of any development, and inclusive play. We can start to build pride in where we live by improving its look.

Elder abuse is a real issue, especially when wills are involved. This bill is not sufficient to guard against coercion and is unsafe. We must listen to experts. We have a responsibility as legislators to ensure bills we approve are safe. This bill isn't.

Yet another professional group, the Royal College of Pathologists, has said they can't support the section of the bill relevant to their work. MPs should listen to the experts and vote against this Bill. rcpath.org/discover-patho…

Today, we’ve announced Ā£39bn of investment in a new 10-year affordable homes programme alongside a 10-year rent settlement. Boosting investment and providing certainty to deliver on our promise of the biggest increase in social and affordable housebuilding in a generation.

We have serious concerns about the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill for England and Wales and therefore cannot support it in its current form. Our patients are among the most vulnerable in society and need to be sufficiently protected. BriefingšŸ‘‡rcpsych.ac.uk/news-and-featu…

Listen to Gordon Brown’s call. ā€œThere is no effective freedom to choose if the alternative option, the freedom to draw on high-quality end-of-life care, is not available.ā€ What is choice if it is limited by the lived reality of so many people? theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

A poll carried out by The Other Half found that two thirds of voters, men and women, are concerned about victims being pressured into dying by their abusers. This is what I and many others have been warning for months. It’s not too late to stop this Bill. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

ā€œAs it stands, this bill would not give us,Ā asĀ psychiatrists, enough space or time to carry out proper, holisticĀ assessments. The idea that we could be involved on a panel only to check decisions made by others … isĀ deeplyĀ troubling.ā€ rcpsych.ac.uk/news-and-featu…

This is a deeply sad case and shows how familial control and conspiracy can be used to undermine good medical outcomes. Now add in Assisted Dying. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Agree. My name is also on the amendment and I too am confident in our leader. He inherited a country on its knees economically, broken public services and an uncertain global situation, and is handling it. This is one policy point in one bill we want reconsidering. That's all.

Having achieved the recognition of ceramics as a foundational industry, I am now focussing on delivering further solutions for Stoke’s pottery industry. I met with Jonathan Reynolds alongside David Williams MP to develop more support for the pottery industry.
