Our mixed-methods research plan will be done in partnership with seven participating states: Hawai`i (Hawai‘i Public Schools), Indiana (Indiana Department of Education (IDOE)), Massachusetts (Massachusetts K-12), Pennsylvania (PA Department of Education), Texas (Texas Education Agency), Virginia (VDOE News), & Washington (WA State OSPI). Allison Gilmour, PhD & I wrote an Ed Research for Action brief, providing leaders & policymakers advice on how to address & cope with special education staffing shortages. Kids are actively missing services right now bc of staffing problems (e.g., vtdigger.org/2024/09/26/at-… )
