A true North Manchester General Hospital legend retired today after 34 years (41 in the NHS!). It has been my absolute privilege to work with Vilma for the last 22 yrs - she is one of the original members of the CCOT. An outstanding nurse & an amazing, caring colleague & friend. We will miss herπ₯²
It's 2 years today since we opened our ICU garden North Manchester General Hospital..thanks to everyone who helped to make it possible especially Janet Leigh Pts, staff & relatives love it - before & after pictures + our ex-patient Victor who was the inspiration for the whole thing π³π·π»

It's 5 yrs today since I started our NMGH ICU garden project-the garden has now been open for 2 yrs & we use it whenever we can. Quote from an ex-pt in follow-up clinic today "the garden was a life saver..it kept me going & the smell of lavender was amazing π€© Janet Leigh

Fantastic work this week by our ICU team North Manchester General Hospital ...it takes a bit of planning & a lot of effort to take our ventilated pts outside...but seeing them in the garden, eating ice pops or enjoying a visit from their dog was amazing! ππ
