Happy to announce that Ralph Temmink from Geosciences UU will give an invited talk in our #EGU24 session on interactions between #life and #landscapes! Looking forward to receive your #biogeomorphology abstracts before 10th January, 13:00 CET. More information on meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU24/session/…

First month back from maternity leave: Cleaning and weeding my „alpine“ #soil #erosion experiment at Botanische Tuinen UU rock gardens and finally analyzing its data from 2023. First results: #alpine plant species #traits matter for soil erosion! #biogeomorphology #GoOrGrow

Happy to be a winner of the International Association of Geomorphologists #geomorphology photo contest last month with my photo "A glimpse into a glacial landscape of the future", showing #glacier retreat, #paraglacial adjustment and #vegetation #succession at the Swiss Turtmann glacier. #biogeomorphology

Happy to return to Department of Geography Bonn next week to talk about my research on #biogeomorphic #feedbacks between moving #mountain slopes and shifting plants! #GoOrGrow #biogeomorphology

In our new paper, we quantified damage by #frost #weathering in alpine rocks using microCT. With Veerle Cnudde's team at PProGRess UGent we tested the efficacy of different freeze-thaw cycles. Thanks EXCITE2 for funding. @UU_PhysGeog Earth Sciences - Utrecht University tc.copernicus.org/articles/18/28…

#Soil #erosion experiments in Botanische Tuinen UU completed after 1.5 years! Measured lot's of above & below-ground #plant #traits in stable & eroding plots in the past days. Thanks great team!! Now finding out if #alpine plant species grow differently on eroding slopes! #biogeomorphology

Delighted our new paper is out in ESPL! Exploring the geomorphic work of the European mole using SfM photogrammetry with Sam Woor, Martin A Coombes, Heather Viles - check it out here 👉 doi.org/10.1002/esp.60…
