Today's Art UK #onlineartexchange is spooky art And we have ... nothing. So enjoy this tranquil painting of the Chateau de Chillon - haunted by François Bonivard, a 16thC monk who was imprisoned in the castle and inspired Byron to write a terrifying 392 line poem.

Had a fascinating tour of Mountain Heritage Trust as part of Alpine Club Blencathra weekend. A wonderful collection that's well worth a visit if you're researching mountaineering history.

It's that time of the year again when all the annual journals turn up! The SMC journal is always a good read - and this year we get a brief mention in Simon Richardson article about climbing with Catherine Destivelle

It's #ExploreYourArchives week! Today's theme is #Decisions and we're going with this set of signatures in support of the admission of Sally Westmacott - one of the first women to join Alpine Club in 1974 after the club voted to admit them.

This week’s #OnlineArtExchange theme is #journeys 📷 🌍 So we've chosen this watercolour from the Victorian equivalent of a holiday photo album! Glacier near Colon by Henry George Willink comes from an album of sketches and paintings he made while on his honeymoon in 1880.
