The recent attacks & continued threats against residents in the lower Oldpark area are abhorrent & absolutely disgraceful. Today, I convened a meeting with residents, housing organisations, community groups, & the PSNI, to urgently address these deeply concerning incidents.

North Belfast is a patchwork, and while it has seen some of the worst violence and trauma it is also where being cross community has been normalised, and peace building has happened, for years. Most of us have understood, embraced and been relaxed about difference for decades.
