Oh, boy, friends, I've got GREAT NEWS to share. Dr. @IdeanSalehyan - likely the world's leading peace science scholar studying refugees, conflict, & climate -plans to join UGA Department of International Affairs School of Public & International Affairs | UGA in Fall 2026. I am so proud of the team and community of scholars we've created here!

While it is truly bittersweet to leave my School of Public & International Affairs | UGA family after nine amazing years, I’m so excited for the adventure ahead & awestruck by the brilliant students, staff, and faculty Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. #ProgressAndService #WeCanDoThat

Thank you, President Ángel Cabrera! I had a fabulous day Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, especially seeing the inspiring Ivan Allen Jr. Social Courage Award presentation. 106 days until I'm part of this great team!

My School of Public & International Affairs | UGA UGA Graduate School PhD grad, Ryan Yu-Lin Liou, has won the 2025 ISA Foreign Policy Analysis @ ISA Alexander George Award! I'm looking forward to celebrating with him and his family at #ISA2025!! isanet.org/News/ID/6582/2…

We School of Public & International Affairs | UGA & Benson-Bertsch Center for Intl Trade & Security were so lucky today to have Dr. Patrick James, former Peace Science Society & International Studies Association President, give a workshop on the Visual International Relations Project. Methods training puts our students ahead of the curve.

June 1st is fast approaching! I sent my first message to the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts community this morning. I'm excited about working with the students, faculty, staff, alums, and community to make an already amazing place even better. #wecandothat #progressandservice

Congratulations to my amazing School of Public & International Affairs | UGA colleague, Dr. Maryann Gallagher, for winning the UGA Award for Excellence in Teaching. Her teaching and mentoring are beyond phenomenal, and our students have had the lives changed as a result of her work.

I am so proud to soon to be part of the leadership of the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy at the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Georgia Tech. I visited The Carter Center on a visit to Atlanta when I was a kid. Their humble service is a guide for how I live and learn.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Thank you to my unbelievably wonderful School of Public & International Affairs | UGA colleagues for the sendoff tonight. I'm so proud of everything we've accomplished together and so excited to see all of your future successes.
