On 7 July, Ambassador Muvangua presented Namibia’s Instrument of Ratification of the Revised African Maritime Transport Charter to the African Union. Namibia becomes the 14th of the 15 required countries to ratify the Charter, bringing it one step closer to entering into force.

Today, H.E. Amb Mbapeua Muvangua met with H.E. Amb Nakagawa Tsutomu, Ambassador of Japan. The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming #TICAD9, to be held in Yokohama from 20–22 August 2025. Reaffirming Namibia–Japan cooperation in advancing Africa’s development.
