Today I’m in Warsaw for the International Donors’ Conference co-hosted by 🇵🇱 and 🇸🇪 in partnership with 🇪🇺   As Putin’s war in Ukraine entered its 10 weeks, the people of Ukraine are calling for our help and support.   Once again, the European Commission is answering this call.

Just announced: Sweden will donate a new military capability to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence. Package 16 will be the largest 🇸🇪 military aid package yet at €1,16bln. Sweden will donate Airborne Surveillance and Control aircraft (ASC 890) to 🇺🇦. (1/6)

We are appalled by this morning’s attacks against Kyiv, where a series of diplomatic institutions were damaged including the Embassy of Portugal. Russia’s blatant violations of international law continuous. The EU stands united against Russia’s war of aggression.

I held a meeting with the leaders of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. Among the key topics of our talks were increasing military support for Ukraine — first and foremost, strengthening air defense to protect lives — addressing the needs of our warriors in preparing future
