Greece Day 3: We spent today on a boat touring 3 Saronic Islands, Hydra, Poros and Aegina. We wandered the streets of Hydra, hiked up to the clock tower on Poros and had a rousing game of Marco Polo in the sea at Aegina! Humble HS IB Dr. Willis

Greece Day 4: Today we left Athens and saw the Temple of Poseidon. Then we saw the Corinth Canal on our way to Nafplio. In Nafplio we toured the city and climbed up to the Palamdi Castle. Some made it to the top, 1000 steps later!! Humble HS IB Dr. Willis

Greece Day 5: Today we toured Epidaurus and Mycenae, the kingdom of Agamemnon from the Odyssey. Both of these are UNESCO World Heritage sites. We made it to Olympia site of the first ancient Olympic Games where we met a man who carried one of the Olympic torches. Humble HS IB

Greece Day 6: Today we started by touring ancient Olympia where they had the first ancient Olympic Games. We also went to the Olympia museum and the Archimedes museum. We then went to the beach where we swam and had lunch. Then we made the drive to Itea near Delphi. Humble HS IB

Greece Day 7: We started with a tour of Delphi and the temple of Apollo. We came back to Athens for some last minute touring and shopping and ended the night with traditional Greek night where we danced and broke plates!! Humble HS IB

Greece Day 8: Today we say Antio sas (goodbye) to Greece! Thanks for the great trip. And special thanks to our tour guide, Irini!! See you in 24 hours Houston! Humble HS IB

I’m on my 2nd trip of the summer focused on the Holocaust with the 2024 JCRC Educator European Summer Institute. Spent 4 days in Warsaw, Poland touring the ghetto, Treblinka and extermination camp, several museums. It’sbeen a packed few days, but incredible learning experiences!

I spent the last 3 days in Berlin with all the European soccer fans! We saw so much: the Berlin Wall, remains of Hitler’s bunker, Checkpoint Charlie, Holocaust memorial and has dinner overlooking the Brandenburg Gate! Now headed to Prague!

The last leg of my trip was in 3 days in Prague. We toured the Jewish Quarter, Terezin where the Nazis had a ghetto and labor camp,Prague Castle, Senate Gardens with peacocks, Dripstone Wall, Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square and ended with an evening cruise down the Vltava River.

I got to take my IB History seniors to the Holocaust Museum of Houston today. This annual field trip is always amazing! Thanks Holocaust Museum Houston for hosting us again. Humble HS IB Madeline Seagraves

We went to see A Servant of Two Masters, the first production of HHS Theatre this year. Lots of our IB students were involved on stage and in tech! Great job!! Humble HS IB

The students worked in groups of all grade levels. It was amazing to see their cooperation!

We had a great day in College Station with the IB Physics seniors. First was the nuclear reactor and then the George Bush Presidential Library!! Humble HS IB

Our annual IB Art Exhibition featured some stunning creations by the artists in our program. We were honored that our superintendent, assistant superintendent, and some members of the board came and visited with our students! @MrCosby_HHS
