Last evening, the Chairman of the ruling party Yoweri K Museveni commissioned Atiak Sugar Factory in Amuru District. The factory is owned by entrepreneur Amina Moghe Hersi, while the government holds 41 percent shares through the Uganda Development Corporation. #SecuringYourFuture

It was a week-long mission to inspect Uganda sugar factories with the assignment,dubbed Kenya Sugar Verification Mission to Uganda.The inspection was to gauge whether Ugandan sugar meets the criteria to increase the quota of sugar for export from 36,000 - 90,000 metric tonnes.
