With Dimitris Bertsimas and two of our students (Dr. TAIYAO) we develop methods for "prescriptive" analytics and apply them to the key problem of reducing hospital readmissions following surgery (bit.ly/3iaijiS). If adopted, we estimate >$20M in annual savings in the US.

Being involved in this project under the supervision of Yannis Paschalidis,I got the chance to work with the amazing people at Boston University aiming to leverage AI techniques in diagnosing cognitive decline based on digital biomarkers.
