The unsung hero of Vandy is Beth Bowman VandyBiomed who not only recruited me to Vanderbilt but has been a steady and amazing source of support since then (not only for me but for every single student who needs her). THANK YOU BETH!!!!

My first post on PubSmear detecting image falsification makes me feel like such a rockstar scientist. The fearless Elisabeth Bik is truly my inspiration 👩‍🔬

Such fun presenting work from Dr. Helen Blau's lab Stanford Medicine today for Vanderbilt Pharmacology journal club. Prostaglandins are cool, but great discussion with my Pharmacology classmates and professors is even cooler! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Back to lab today with the biggest appreciation for my Vanderbilt Pharmacology GSA team that helped me put together a spectacular department retreat last week. I can’t wait to see us all do big things in science and the world. L-R: Jared, Vivian, me, José C. Zepeda, Jade Miller, Emma

1/6 PGE2 is one of the principal bioactive prostaglandins, critical signaling lipids implicated in body homeostais and pathegenic inflammatory response, yet its in vivo dynamics are largely unknown. #GRABsensors #Prostaglandins

Never forget the 2019 White Elephant gift exchange at work when I gave away a beta fish complete with food, fish bowl, toys, and care guide. Best $15 I’ve ever spent.

I’m beyond thrilled to announce that my NRSA F31 grant is funded!! To go from an undiscussed first submission to a 4th % resubmission is a dream. I can’t thank my support network enough, especially my mentor Dr. Penn and the rest of my Vanderbilt family. Vanderbilt Pharmacology @VUMCEye

One of the things I like about having a Fitbit while being in graduate school is that it helps bring new dimensionality to the day's events. It also helps explain to my friends and family outside the field who don't understand experiments why I eat so much cake.
