Is this "peace through strength" that the Trump sycophants are blathering about? Putin is humiliating Trump, time and again. This is pure weakness on our part, abandoning an ally and coddling a war criminal. (To my GOP foreign policy "normie" friends, this ain't good....)

Just finished your book. It was excellent. Growing up Catholic, there was so much in here that I had no clue about. I’d always wanted to know why the institution is so resistant to enlightened change. Fascinating read.

Wow, that $1000 “starter account” is going to do so much while the BBB reduces health coverage for over 7 MILLION children, and thousands of pregnant women by cutting Medicaid children’s insurance by $1 TRILLION over next decade.

It’s great that we have these assets to help right now. But we also need to point out that a single MQ-9 costs $30 million (just to acquire, not operate) so I do think it’s fair to ask if this tragedy could have been prevented given the $45 million staffing cuts to NWS.

Military aid to Ukraine is on, then it’s turned off, then it’s back on. This type of chaos does not happen is a well functioning defense department. But at least Hegseth is good at getting rid of those pictures of the Tuskegee airmen and women vets.

🚨 This is an extraordinary document for an extraordinary time; the Catholic Church authorizing parishioners to indefinitely skip Mass out of fear that they will be detained and deported on their way to worship.
