I have been writing this opinion piece about grief, motherhood, fertility, queer parenting & finding joy ever since I was diagnosed with cancer last year. What a release to have it in the The Globe and Mail as I end treatment (hopefully forever). #MothersDay theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

“I feel very much at home when I come back” 🇨🇦 Toronto Maple Leafs legend Mats Sundin feels right at home while he tours around Ontario promoting his new book “Home and Away” 🏒
Watching a u11 tourney game this morning, it’s wild to me that half-ice hockey stops after U9 in Canada (and faced soooo much backlash when implemented). It takes 60+ strides for these kids to go end to end. Zero skill development. Hockey Canada Ontario Hockey Federation need to rethink.
The new Ontario Hockey Federation rules on player movement & tampering are exactly the opposite of what's needed to grow the sport & keep it local, accessible & cost-effective. It also puts coaches (mostly parent volunteers like me) in an impossible position. Shame. ohf.on.ca/Player-Movement
Thoroughly enjoyed Sundin’s memoir with Amy Stuart. Loved the hockey stories and his time with the Leafs, but I especially enjoyed learning more about his life in Sweden before making it to the NHL
