Today's The Nobel Prize for John Hopfield recognizes only one of his contributions - he's a true polymath. I strongly recommend his solo author PNAS papers (i) long-range e- tunneling in proteins (1974), (ii) kinetic proof-reading (1974), (iii) Hopfield nets (1982). Each is a gem!
