A sobering morning visiting the devastated Bradley Fold allotments in #Didsbury with MP Jeff Smith Linda Foley Leslie Bell and Councillor Debbie Hilal meeting allotment holders Katy and Godfrey. Then on to examine the banks of the Mersey which have been swept away by the floods.


Today I met Post Offices Minister Gareth Thomas MP with Jeff Smith We discussed our petition. Almost 2,400 signatures opposing the closure of #Didsbury and Harpurhey Post Offices. The key points: importance of retaining the staff expertise and the full services on offer.

Some good news. Manchester City Council will bring a school crossing patrol back to School Lane #Didsbury connecting Beaver Rd, Didsbury CofE and Beaver Rd Juniors after a campaign by local parent Alba who contacted me with a 600 signature petition. Recruitment process now open!
