Yes, the market sucks right now. Yes, the econ data sucks right now. But in reality, it was all propped up artificially, and I've spent the last 5 years bitching about that. It's not fixable without some real pain. We are arriving there now.

PPI is the producers price index. It’s a market basket of the average change in manufacturers prices over time. A drop indicates that (a) inflation is reversing and/or (b) demand is slowing

It took me about a year to realize that there are just as many fake sellers in CRE, as there are fake buyers. All part of the fun! 🤡

Pope Francis said during an interview one time that he fell asleep during prayer. The interviewer asked him whether that was allowed, and he said that fathers always love it when their children fall asleep in their arms. That always stuck with me. Rest in peace.

I commend the Senate for ensuring the permanency of Opportunity Zones. But... (and it's a big but)... OZ investment may dry up over the next 18 months. Barrett nails it here. It's an easy fix that will ensure program continuity into next year. Senate Finance Cmte please fix!

⏰ We are days (or hours) away from Opportunity Zones 2.0 becoming law — and becoming PERMANENT. It’s hard to overstate what a game-changer Opportunity Zones 2.0 will be. With the program being permanent, a huge wave of new investors, financial advisors, and real estate
