I'm a big fan of Deutsche Grammophon (DG) label for classical music. Divertimento KV287/Eine Kleine Nachtmusik KV525 Both performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker in the 1980s. The latter is a fantastic piece which I remember hearing performed in St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, London a few years ago.

Another benefit of reading music books is that you also get to pick up on pieces/performances you haven't listened to. I agree with John Suchet ... Mozart's Exsultate,jubilate K165 is a really great uplifting piece that I'd not heard until today. Glad I now have done!

That's a wrap (well #Mozart The Man Revealed) read. Absolutely brilliant read, enabling you to transport back in time & be right there, given the evidence contained in letters & conclusions from John Suchet. Next one In Search of #Beethoven. Then I'll need another for holiday!

In Search of Beethoven, A Personal Journey by John Suchet read. Intriguing reading. It must have been wonderful to visit those important places & meet people from families known to Beethoven. Now starting The Man Revealed to learn more. Discovered lots more great music as well.
