india is such a stellar example of why the postcolonial is not decolonial. Less than a few decades after “gaining” their own independence their is a complete erasure of the collective memory of what imperialism is what solidarity means who the aggressors are what is colonialism

This photo has haunted me since I first saw it as a kid. The man is Nsala—he missed the Belgian authorities’ daily rubber quota. His 5yo daughter was cannibalized as punishment. The almost tranquil image, full of suffocating horror, was one of my earliest glimpses of colonialism.

CNN tried to do a sympathy piece on IDF soldiers and then like halfway through the article you find out this guy was a D9 bulldozer driver who regularly drove over people while they were alive.

Since last night, the Israeli bombardment of the central Gaza Strip has not stopped. Aerial and artillery shelling in Deir al-Balah and Nuseirat remains relentless.

The new figures are out: 37 villages have been wiped out across a 120 km stretch from Naqoura to Shebaa. Approximately 40,000 homes have been destroyed by the Israelis. They are literally creating a no-life zone in South Lebanon.

Ridiculous BBC line: "Public sector pay deals help drive up UK borrowing" No link with corporate welfare, contracts for cronies, Govt paying higher energy bills, HMRC not collecting £500bn since 2010, Tory legacy. Just blame workers wanting decent pay. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Just came across these photos of anti-Apartheid protests in Newcastle and Durham. The Leo Sayer one was outside his gig at City Hall, shortly after he'd broken the cultural boycott to play in South Africa. In 1982 the City Council declared Newcastle an ‘anti-apartheid authority’.

I think it's insane for a country that killed 3-5 million Korean people to constantly use North Korea as a reference for nightmare dystopia to describe their own society which, in actuality, has been the real nightmare dystopian authoritarian mass slaughter paragon all along
