Yesterday, I visited Kajjansi HCIV, Kajjansi Market & Ndejje HCIV in Wakiso district doing support supervision for the ongoing CAST TB/Leprosy campaign designed to identify TB and Leprosy cases, linking them to treatment, and raising awareness in the public on TB prevention.

I thank all our teams and partners for job well done in this campaign. I also give special recognition to the Health workers of Ndejje Health Centre IV that I found very passionate and committed to delivering quality health care services. Other facilities have a lot to learn here

With storage capacity of over 30,000 pallet storage locations, the new NMS Uganda warehouse has been officially commissioned by HE Yoweri K Museveni this afternoon. This has been achieved with 60% funding from Govt of Uganda and 40% from Global Fund.

The 4th Mosquito Net Campaign has been launched as #Uganda marks #WorldMalariaDayUG23. Under this campaign, 28.5 million mosquito nets will be distributed countrywide. 17 districts will receive nets under the 1st wave; as they are experiencing a Malaria epidemic

The meeting also attended by PS Ministry of Health- Uganda Dr. Diana Atwine & PS Ministry of Local Government Ben Kumumanya resolved to give LG Accounting officers time until 2nd June 2023 to file all accountabilities or lose their accounting roles. It was established that 55 LGs have failed to recruit DHO's.
