Thank so much University of Glasgow and Glasgow Science Centre for a fantastic day at the PCR masterclass! Everyone from KHS had a great time and all of the staff were so helpful. The practical was great and a great intro to uni life #stem #biology #pcr
Today a group of S5 Higher Biologists enjoyed a PCR workshop ran by the Glasgow Science Centre. Pupils were treated to gel electrophoresis, PCR, some virus diagnostics and discussed DNA technology with a group of scientists 👩🔬 👨🔬 Hillhead High School
Day 3 of the Glasgow Science Centre and MRC-Uni of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research PCR workshop at University of Glasgow . Learning about DNA structure and diagnosing viral diseases.
Additionally, research from Thomson Lab - Preparedness Group CVR & colleagues tested blood from vaccinated people to measure antibody neutralisation of emerging variants. Data show current boosters provide cross-protection against BA.2.86. doi.org/10.1016/S0140-…
