House of Huawei is the best book I've read this year. It's not only a story about the rise of an incredibly powerful company. It's also a story about China's economic transformation, state-business relations, entrepreneurship, and geopolitics.

The US is the world's largest economy, but China completely dominates them in exports of clean energy technology. These two countries are taking strikingly different paths: China towards clean energy, the US towards fossil fuels.

I suspect that both China and India would have been wealthier — and the US poorer — had it not been for all the Chinese and Indian nationals who moved and settled in Silicon Valley. Immigrants from China and India have become the backbone of the US tech industry.

Just 15 Indian cities contribute 30% of India’s GDP. These urban hubs alone– will drive India’s ability to become a 30 + trillion economy by 2047, facilitating an extra 1.5% of growth. How can we unlock their full potential and position them on the world map? Transforming

I threw everything in here—the $, bonds, future of the defense umbrella, the insistence on centrality, stablecoin, why centrality is not always strength, the evolution of US & global (r,g ) dynamics, and a shoutout to Steven Solomon. But no dad jokes. phenomenalworld.org/analysis/monet…
