It cannot be understated how much Royal College of Physicians contributed to the PA mess. Offering to assist with the curriculum but doing the bare minimum. Offering to host PANE but letting PAs hold PANE. Enabling PAs to misrepresent themselves as MRCPs. Why won’t they support Anaesthetists United?

This is the clearest example of why allowing employers to set scope is inherently dangerous. This is why NATIONAL standards are needed for training, education AND practice. Only DOCTORS are sufficiently trained to manage sick patients.
