As a legislative body, we have 60 days to create good policies for all West Virginians. Creating a constitutional amendment for something that is already illegal is poor use of legislative time and effort and also tax payer's dollars.

The bill won’t “protect foster families’ beliefs” at all. It green lights them to discriminate against kids who are LGBTQ+ and lets them ignore a basic parental responsibility. Lawmakers would rather lower the bar than stop creating the foster crisis to begin with.
