I took out a subscription to Butcher's Dog Publishing today. Its amazing editor, the poet Jo Clement Dr Jo Clement, deserves the respect of all writers and readers. The magazine is magnificent and deserves our support.

Last night at Royal Academy was an experience and a pleasure to be with Malika Booker Vanessa Kisuule & Dami Folayan performing commissioned poems for Entangled Pasts, 1768 - now: Art, Colonialism and Change. And reading from Living by Troubled Waters Nine Arches Press 🔥🔥👌🏾

I am proper proud of everything Butcher's Dog poetry magazine stands for. The forthcoming twentieth issue was the hardest-won labour of love yet. I promise you, it is belting!

Huge congratulations to these volunteers whose great input in many aspects of Irish culture & social care has been so valuable in communities accross Britain. Awards so well deserved. A big thanks also Irish in Britain for recognising that & the work necessary to hold this event.
