Today, #HumanRights ambassadors from 🇫🇷🇮🇸🇫🇮🇩🇪🇸🇪🇪🇸🇱🇺 held an exchange of views with Council of Europe representatives, including Commissioner for Human Rights Michael O'Flaherty, on ongoing and future initiatives to uphold and strengthen Human Rights, democracy and the rule of law in #Europe and beyond.

Fruitful meeting with European #HumanRightsAmbassadors on how to better cooperate and find synergies in our work in the face of unprecedented challenges to #HumanRights in Europe.

Inspired by the comprehensive work of Council of Europe on human rights, democracy & the rule of law in our region and beyond. European #HumanRightsAmbassadors are encouraged by the many insightful discussions we had over the last 2 days in Strasbourg!

I’ve seen the work of #UNRWA in 🇵🇸, they are essential for the population. After the Colonna report which UNRWA is implementing, it would be incomprehensible if 🇮🇱 Knesset voted a law to consider them as terorrist organization. XB

The new law banning women’s voices and bare faces in public is another peak illustrating the Taliban’s gruesome efforts to deprive Afganistan’s women & girls of their most basic rights - of being heard and seen. It’s not ‘virtue’ but discrimination. XB
