Spending my last 5 weeks as a medical student on a surgical rotation in Malawi and I’m eager to see radiology’s impact on care here and learn of ways I may be able to help contribute in the future as a #RadRes

This is the hyperfine portable MRI scanner that is used for detecting cerebral malaria in children here at QECH in Malawi. It also helped save many lives while the (only) CT scanner was down for several weeks here by catching strokes and helping to treat patients quicker.
